Install MySQL<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Next, install MySQL server with the following command:<\/p>\n<pre>apt-get install mysql-server mysql-client<\/pre>\n<p>After the installation of the MySQL server is completed, it is recommended to run the &#8216;mysql_secure_installation&#8217; script to secure your MySQL server.<\/p>\n<pre>mysql_secure_installation<\/pre>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"7-Create-new-MySQL-databse\"><\/span>7. Create new MySQL databse<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Create a new MySQL database for Zurmo<\/p>\n<pre>mysql -u root -p\r\n\r\nCREATE DATABASE zurmo;\r\nCREATE USER 'zurmoouser'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'PASSWORD';\r\nGRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON `zurmo`.* TO 'zurmoouser'@'localhost';\r\nFLUSH PRIVILEGES;<\/pre>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to replace &#8216;PASSWORD&#8217; with an actual strong password<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"8-Download-and-Configure-Zurmo\"><\/span>8. Download and Configure Zurmo<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Download the latest stable release of Zurmo from their official website<\/p>\n<pre>wget http:\/\/build.zurmo.com\/downloads\/zurmo-stable-3.0.5.cf746baa61be.zip<\/pre>\n<p>and unpack the downloaded zip archive to the document root directory on your server<\/p>\n<pre>unzip zurmo-stable-3.0.5.cf746baa61be.zip -d \/var\/www\/html\/<\/pre>\n<p>The Zurmo files have to be owned by the apache user.<\/p>\n<pre>chown -R www-data:www-data \/var\/www\/html\/zurmo\/<\/pre>\n<p>Create Apache virtual host directive for Zurmo<\/p>\n<pre>vi \/etc\/apache2\/sites-available\/yourdomain.com.conf\r\n\r\n&lt;VirtualHost *:80&gt;\r\nServerAdmin admin@yourdomain.com\r\nDocumentRoot \/var\/www\/html\/zurmo\/\r\nServerName yourdomain.com\r\nServerAlias www.yourdomain.com\r\n&lt;Directory \/var\/www\/html\/zurmo\/&gt;\r\nOptions FollowSymLinks\r\nAllowOverride All\r\n&lt;\/Directory&gt;\r\nErrorLog \/var\/log\/apache2\/yourdomain.com-error_log\r\nCustomLog \/var\/log\/apache2\/yourdomain.com-access_log common\r\n&lt;\/VirtualHost&gt;<\/pre>\n<p>Enable the virtual host files<\/p>\n<pre>a2ensite yourdomain.com<\/pre>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"9-Restart-and-Verify\"><\/span>9. Restart and Verify<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Restart the web server for the changes to take effect:<\/p>\n<pre>service apache2 restart<\/pre>\n<p>Now, open http:\/\/yourdomain.com in a web browser to run the web installer. It will check if all requirements are installed on your server.
